Poisonous food kills 4 Oromos in Bosaso town

The poison which had been placed in the food claimed the lives of 4 Oromo refugees in Bosaso/Puntland.

Those who died were:

1. Mahamed Abdurahman - Born in 1975 - Hara Maya - Harar
2. Abdi Mahamed Umar - Born in 1968 - Awaday - Harar
3. Jibril Hassan Ahmado - Born in 1984 - Balee
4. Gasaalii Ganootaa - Born in Sudeti - Arsi

BOSASSO (Sh. M. Network) – at least four Oromos have been killed in the port town of Bosaso after they ate a poisonous food in the town in the semi-autonomous region of Puntland, witnesses told Shabelle radio on Sunday, Dec 12, 2009.

Witnesses told Shabelle radio that the died Oromo people were farmers who lived in the south of the town in Bari region north of Somalia adding that they knew nothing about the reason of the poisonous meal that left the lives of the Oromos.

Locals who took the bodies of the Ethiopian citizens to the main hospital of Bosaso town said that the deceased people ate a poisonous food.

It is the first time that such accident kills Oromo people in the port and business centre of the Puntland administration in north of the Somalia country.
